TruLight Studio

A Seattle web and AI studio I co-founded to give small businesses, churches and nonprofits the kind of product thinking usually reserved for big budgets: beautiful websites, built to win customers.

01

The problem

Small businesses are told they need a website, then handed either a template that looks like everyone else’s or an agency quote they can’t afford. The template rarely loads fast, rarely works well on a phone and almost never turns visitors into calls.

The organizations that do the most good, like churches, adult family homes and local nonprofits, usually have the smallest budgets and the oldest websites.

02

Constraints

A small senior team, so every project has to run on a repeatable process instead of heroics. Clients are owners, pastors and nurses, not product managers, so every decision has to be explained in plain language and every site has to be easy for them to update on their own.

Pricing had to stay honest and visible: clear starting points, the final scope tailored to the goal, and no hidden fees.

03

Approach

I treated the studio itself as a product. The offer is organized into clear service lines, each with a starting price and a timeline, so a client knows what to expect before the first call.

Every engagement follows the same four steps. Discovery comes first: we learn the business, its goals and its customers. Design shows the site taking shape in wireframes and mockups, refined with the client’s feedback. Development uses modern, reliable technology with regular check ins. Launch covers deployment and testing, and we stay on afterward.

The same UX discipline I bring to SaaS goes into a five page website: mobile first layouts, fast loads, real content hierarchy and a clear path to the phone call or the booking.

We started TruLight Studio with a simple belief: technology should serve everyone.
04

What I built

TruLight Studio launched in 2025 as a full service studio for web, mobile and AI. The public site doubles as the sales tool: a portfolio of real client work, transparent packages from a focused starter site to unlimited page builds, ongoing maintenance plans and a four step process laid out in plain language.

The Give Back program sits alongside the paid work, with the same craftsmanship and the same modern stack, so organizations doing good in their community get the digital tools they need.

  • 01

    Websites that win customers

Custom sites built with Next.js and React, designed to look credible, load fast and turn visitors into paying customers.

  • 02

    Platforms, not just pages

For All Things New Restoration we built a high performance site plus a custom CMS and full CRM to support emergency response work.

  • 03

    Built for care homes

Nurse led adult family homes like Brookwood House and Norwood House got refined, mobile first sites that put personalized care first.

  • 04

    Mobile apps and AI

Native and cross platform apps for iOS and Android, and practical AI that automates processes without unnecessary complexity.

  • 05

    Brand and photography

UX strategy, identity and creative design across digital and print, plus commercial photography delivered with full rights.

  • 06

    Give Back

A pro bono program that builds professional websites at zero cost for churches, 501(c)(3) nonprofits and community organizations.

05

Results

More than 50 projects delivered, from senior care and medical aesthetics to construction, restoration, photography and churches, with 100% client satisfaction.

Clients talk about the experience as much as the result. Revive City Church calls its website an important part of its ministry, with service information, event registrations, online giving and sermons in one place. European Custom Flooring points to the project gallery that lets customers see the work before they call.

06

What’s next

Grow the AI practice with practical automations for the small businesses we already serve, expand the pro bono program to more churches and nonprofits, and keep PixelTrack running the studio’s own operations behind the scenes.
